Over the last two months, women from totally different walks of life took to their social media handles to open up regarding being victims of sexual harassment. One case that took the industry all of sudden was Sajid Khan. With journalist Karishma Upadhyay and actors like Saloni Chopra, Rachel White and Simran Puri opening up regarding their horrific incidents, the Sajid stepped down from the directorial post of his coming next, Housefull 4.

As the #MeToo movement continues to realize momentum, actor Saloni Chopra has accused director Sajid Khan of molestation. Recalling her horrific ordeal, Saloni Chopra in her blog has talked regarding Sajid Khan’s behavior towards her once she uses to be his assistant director. Speaking regarding the mental and physical torture that she had faced while working with Sajid Khan, Saloni Chopra in her long blog said that she is finally sharing her #MeToo story once being quiet for so many years.

At a recently held event, Sajid's cousin and actor Farhan Akhtar finally opened up regarding the #MeToo allegations against the Heyy Babyy director. Speaking at the We The Women event in Mumbai, Farhan Akhtar aforesaid, "If I did understand I would've spoken regarding it way before the story skint. There was this certain guilt about that. How could this be going on and I had no idea? So there were conflicted emotions."

The Rock On actor goes on to elaborate, "It was the surprise, disappointment and unusually because when it's a member of your family, you also feel a certain level of guilt. It's happened to all of us in the past when we hear something like this and say 'but how come someone so close to him didn't know'."

Farhan has been one of the few actors who has constantly supported equality and harassment against women. In 2013, the ZNMD star launched a campaign, MARD: Men Against Rape and Discrimination that aims to raise social awareness against rape and discrimination against women.
