Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel has been on the offensive against Alia Bhatt for some time - either questioning her acting skills or slamming her for staying off from political comments. Alia’s Dad and film producer Mahesh Bhatt, however, doesn't want to comment at on this topic. Calling Kangana Ranaut a “bachchi”, Mahesh said that he wouldn't want to comment against somebody who started her Bollywood journey as an actress from his production company Vishesh Films.

On being asked regarding the recent social media attack by Rangoli, Bhatt told to media, “Kangana may be a ‘bachchi’, started her journey with us. Simply because her relative is Attacking me, I won’t comment. Our upbringing and culture teach us that we must always not raise a finger on our children. So expression something against our kids won’t be potential. My upbringing stops me to do so. Till I die, I'll never ever say something against our kid because of it's against my upbringing, it's against my nature.”

Mahesh Bhatt was talking to the media at the screening of the film Yours Truly, which is also his acting debut. His comments came when Rangoli attacked him and his wife Soni Razdan earlier this month. Rangoli additionally attacked Bhatt’s wife and their daughter Alia Bhatt and called them “non Indian”.

In an earlier interaction with media, Kangana had termed media’s comparison of her performance with Alia’s Gully Boy an “embarrassment”. “Media have taken children love too far. Stop pampering mediocre work instead bar can ne'er be raised,” Kangana had said.

While Alia Bhatt had earlier said that she would love to earn Kangana’s approval with exertions, at a recent media event, she refused to respond to any offensive statements. When asked by mediapersons whether or not it hurts her to see her parents getting dragged in the mud whereas she has been so graceful under attack, Alia responded, “Dekhiye, agar main aisi hu then my family is 10 times more mature and stronger than I'm. Mujhe isme padna hi nahi hai, you know. I simply want to be happy, positive, work hard, be a better version of myself every day. Log kya kahe, kya na kahe I mustn't pay attention to it. Everybody has a right to say what they want to say. Main bas chup rahugi, that’s my stand.”

Kangana started her journey in Bollywood in 2006 with the film Gangster, which was produced by Mahesh Bhatt. Kangana additionally bagged the best debutant award for her performance within the movie.
