Mumbai: CID Actor Dinesh Phadnis Passes Away at 57 After Battle with Multiple Organ Failure

MUMBAI: The Indian television and film industry mourn the loss of actor Dinesh Phadnis, renowned for his iconic portrayal of Fredericks in the iconic television series CID. The 57-year-old actor succumbed to multiple organ failure at Mumbai's Tunga Hospital, where he had been receiving treatment after suffering from severe liver damage. The news was confirmed by his co-actor and friend, Dayanand Shetty, who portrayed the character of Daya in CID.

Dinesh Phadnis had been on a ventilator since Sunday, dispelling initial reports of a cardiac arrest. Shetty clarified, "There were a lot of complications, and he was removed from the ventilator last night." The actor's final moments came at 12.08 am on Tuesday, marking the end of a prolific career that left an indelible mark on the hearts of fans.
