On Priyanka Chopra's Father's 6th Death Anniversary, Nick Jonas And In Laws Show Their Support And Love For Her

Actor Priyanka Chopra has denoted her father Ashok Chopra’s 6th death anniversary on social media. Sharing an image of herself as a youngster, playing with her father, Ashok Chopra, Priyanka wrote on her post, “6 years. Seems like just yesterday we lost you. I miss you Dad. Inexplicably.”

The picture that shared on her social media shows a young Priyanka perched on a tree, with her dad standing by her side. Priyanka's father passed on in 2013. The actor has regularly talked about her affection for her dad and the troubles she faced in adapting to his loss. She even has a tattoo with the words 'Daddy's Lil girl’ written on her forearm in her dad's handwriting.

Several Priyanka’ friends from the film industry left messages in the comment section. Mindy Kaling, with whom Priyanka will be seen staring in a film, left heart emojis, as did Anusha Dandekar. Hina Khan, who met Priyanka at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival, wrote, “I still remember the stories you shared with me about your father. May his soul rest in peace.”

Priyanka's father-in-law, Kevin Jonas Sr, wrote in the remarks, "All our love sweet daughter-in-law. Nothing can replace such an exceptional man, but we are here to surround your heart with love and support." Priyanka's husband, singer Nick Jonas reacted essentially with a red heart emoji.

Last year, Priyanka had shared a video of her father's photographs“My dad was my best friend, my idol and my protector. He was the man of my life,” she said in the video. "I was very close to my dad, he was my superhero, my idol. I wanted to grow up and be him. He was an artist, he used to perform in front of an audience, he was a surgeon, he was a musician, he was the life of a gathering, gregarious chuckling, incredibly confident man."

In 2016 when she interacting with the media, the actor had said about her father, "His demise has been a major blow. Despite everything, I haven't managed it.
