Businessman Raj Kundra, an accused in the porn videos racket case, planned to launch another app after the Google Play Store took down the HotShots app, new WhatsApp chats have revealed.
Documents reveal that Raj Kundra had made a WhatsApp group called 'H Account' for HotShots app. In the chats, it is revealed that the HotShots app was earning good profits but due to its adult content, it was taken down from Google Play Store.
Pradeep Bakshi, a participant in the group, shared the response from Google Play Store on how their review for removal of HotShots app was also declined. Raj Kundra replied, "That's fine. Plan B started max 2-3 weeks new app will be live iOS and Android it's a blessing."
During this conversation, a member named Rob Digital Marketing HotShots suggested that until the launch of the new app, they can deactivate all the bold films and file another appeal with the Play store.
In another screenshot of chat, a member of the group told Raj Kundra, "Till BF (Bollyfame) is up let's find out a way to sustain HS (Hotshots)."
Raj Kundra's plan B was Bolly Fame. He was making logos and finalising a detailed plan on the same. In one of the chats, it is also seen how Raj Kundra posted about action on OTT platforms, to which he says "thank god you planned BF"
Raj Kundra was also a part of another WhatsApp group called Bolly Fame, which was created by Pradeep Bakshi. According to the chats, Raj Kundra wanted Bolly Fame to be a completely UK-based app so that Indian laws do not touch it.
Ryan Thorpe, another accused arrested along with Raj Kundra, was the one looking after domain, email address and other things on the instructions of Kundra.
The chats also reveal that Raj Kundra planned the content for Bolly Fame based on UK laws like content of 7+, 12+, 16+ and 18+ age groups.
The police claim that Raj Kundra was a financial beneficiary in the HotShots app, the streaming service at the center of the porn racket. However, Raj Kundra has denied the claims.
The police claimed that it had "sufficient evidences" that Raj Kundra was the key conspirator in the case. The police have also arrested 10 persons so far in the porn videos racket. (Agencies)
