Salman Khan is 'Being Human' Again, To Donate Rs 3.75 Cr to Daily Wagers of Film Industry

Mumbai: While India continues to grapple with the COVID situation, several Bollywood stars and celebrities have started helping people either by arranging oxygen cylinders and medicines or by distributing food.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, fondly referred to as Sallu Bhai has decided to give Rs 1,500 each to 25,000 daily wage workers from the film industry. The actor's manager is said to have contacted the Federation of Western Indian Cine Employees (FWICE) to get the bank account details of the daily wage workers registered with the federation.

This is not all, the 'Tiger of Bollywood' has pledged to donate a portion of the earning from his next film Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai for COVID relief. Makers of the film Zee Entertainment has agreed to do the same.

In some of his other philanthropic and humanitarian gestures, Khan who is the brain behind the clothing line, 'Being Human – The Clothing Line With A Heart', had recently helped an 18-year-old boy from Karnataka who lost his father to COVID. He has also been distributing food packets to frontline COVID workers in Mumbai. He has also been extending monetary help to many underprivileged who have been looking for help to buy COVID medicines, equipment or food.

Salman Khan is known for his humanitarian side and is known to help people.

The Bollywood actor is the founder of the Being Human Foundation that provides healthcare services and facilities and education to underprivileged children. The Foundation is focused on charitable activities and is run by the earnings of Being Human merchandise sale. Over 500 Mumbai children are said to be benefiting from the initiatives of the Foundation.

Khan is awaiting the release of his next film, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. The release date is May 13 when India and the world would celebrate the holy festival of Eid. It is customary of Salman Khan to release one movie of his on Eid. Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai is directed by Prabhudeva. The cast includes Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda and Jackie Shroff. Khan also has Tiger 3 in the pipeline.
