Shiddat, a movie directed by Kunal Deshmukh is an intense but tricky love story released directly on Disney Hotstar on 1 October, Friday. The movie is a powerful portrayal of romance casting Radhika Madan, Sunny Kaushal, Diana Penty and Mohit Raina. The meaning of the term Shiddat itself is intensity therefore the title perfectly matches the story that shows the changing circumstances that are in the correlation between love and life of the couple.

Review: The first half of the movie Shiddat shows the entertaining scenes, and then it becomes an emotional drama. In the movie Shiddat, the director tries to portray the powerful relation of love and romance where the actor i.e. Sunny Kaushal is heartbroken and devastated because of the failure in love as his beloved girl for whom he did all his best has left him. Sunny Kaushal, the actor in the movie playing the role of Joginder 'Jaggi', a hockey player falls in love with Radhika Madan the actress playing the role of Kartika who is a swimmer. Jaggi, a happy go lucky guy saw Kartika coming out of a swimming pool and then falls for her. He has an expanded version of a one night stand with Kartika to get informed about the fact that she is already engaged with a man in London and her wedding is planned to be organized after three months. Jaggi makes a journey full of risk from Jalandhar to Calais and then from Calais to London with the motive to stop a wedding ceremony as he wanted Kartika with all his heart. He crossed all his way to reach the destination that he aimed for and faced all the challenges by defeating everything that comes on his way whether it is land, water or air. His dangerous passion and the inappropriate quest is the soft centre of 'Shiddat'.

Sunny has beautifully depicted the story by surrendering himself to Jaggi and Radhika Madan has definitely brought light into her character as more complex characters are done by her so it was an easy and entertaining role for her. Mohit Raina as the big brother of Jaggi also expressed the bond very distinctly and finally Diana Penty as Ira flaunted with her expressions that seem so natural, she was an activist and a part of the secondary love in the film. Singer Sachin Jigar with his dynamic and energetic music brought in the movie the Indian pop culture. The film 'Shiddat' is like old wine in a new bottle as it illustrates the old romance between the couple with the modern concept, it has been very much successful in gaining the attention of the audiences.
