Hollywood is all about cinema universes and it seems like Bollywood is following suit. Director Rohit Shetty says he's increasing the ’desi cop’ universe, which he started with Ajay Devgn-starrer Singham and followed up with Ranveer Singh’s Simmba and currently Akshay Kumar-fronted Sooryavanshi.
The film, which is presently underneath production, additionally features Ajay and Ranveer. “After making Singham franchise, we thought of increasing the cop universe and that’s how Simmba happened. For the first time, we had integrated two worlds — Simmba and Singham and had additionally added a new element with Sooryavanshi. It was an enormous risk how it worked,” Rohit Shetty told to the media.

Rohit Shetty, further added that they are trying to create a world of their own and they have been open about it. It will only grow with time. There will be a female cop as well in my universe.
The director thinks it's not possible to make something just like the Avengers franchise in India because of budget constraints. “The budget of something like Avengers is just too high. We don't have that sort of budget. it's not that we don't have a special team that referring to VFX or action. we've got that.” For Sooryavanshi, Rohit has teamed up for the first time with Katrina Kaif and he says this can be the right film for them to come together.
“Katrina has a superb role within the film. We both have been trying to work with each other together on a film however this seemed like an apt film for both of us.” He has associated himself with the own film Golmaal in an animated version. The TV series titled Golmaal Jr is produced by Reliance Animation and Rohit Shetty Pictures. It'll be aired from Monday on Nickelodeon Sonic.
