Dulquer Salmaan Starrer Kurup Released On OTT Platform Netflix

The Malayalam biographical crime thriller, Kurup directed by Srinath Rajendran was earlier scheduled for OTT release on Friday 17 December to be streaming on Netflix but the makers have surprisingly released the movie before its release date.

The film has now been made available for streaming on the OTT platform of Netflix from Tuesday 14 December as informed by the makers of the film through their social media account of Instagram.

Kurup got its theatrical release on 12 November 2021 and screened in 15 00 theatres across the world. Within two weeks of its release, the film has broken numerous box office records with a collection of more than 100 crores. The IMDb rating of Kurup is 7.9 out of 10.

The movie cast Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role and other important casts include Tovino Thomas, Shine Tom Chacko, Sobhita Dhulipala, Indrajit Sukumaran, Bharat Niwas and Sunny Wayne. The film is written by Jithin K Josh and songs in the film are composed by Sushin Shyam.

The actor Dulquer Salmaan plays the role of a real-life criminal named Sukumar Kurup in the film Kurup. The film revolves around Kurup who is a wanted criminal as Kerala State Police Department has been searching for him since 1984.

Dulquer in the film appears to be faking about his death news to resolve all his financial issues through insurance money which is expected to get after his death. He was accused of the murder of a man named Chacko in the 1980s. He along with his brother-in-law and driver killed Chacko and tried to make the dead body look like Kurup. The real motive behind the murder conspiracy was to own the insurance money.

By the end of the film, Kurup turns into an urban mythical character. As a criminal mastermind, the actor treated fans with commendable performances in the crime thriller. The big hit of the film and such a profit gives the best career opening for Dulquer.
