"Would have been Married if Pandemic had not Hit Us": Ranbir Kapoor

In an interview with Rajeev Masand, Ranbir Kapoor has disclosed that he and Alia Bhatt would get hitched in December 2020 itself but the plan got stricken. He said that he doesn't want to jinx on but want to get checked on the marriage goal in the near future if the pandemic hadn't affected us.

Ranbir feels like an 'underachiever' if compared with his girlfriend and addressed her as an 'overachiever' because she registered herself in several online classes.

Ranbir said, "It would've been sealed had the pandemic not hit our lives. I don't want to jinx it by saying anything. I want to tick-mark that goal very soon in my life."

What exactly Ranbir said about his girlfriend, Alia?

So, when he was asked whether he was a part of some online classes during this lockdown then he responded that "My girlfriend Alia is a bit of an overachiever, and she probably took every class there is - from guitar to screenwriting. I always feel like an underachiever next to her. But no, I didn't take any classes. Initially, we were dealing with the family crisis, and then I got into reading, spent time with my family, and I watched two-three films every day."

During this lockdown, there were several reports saying that Ranbir and Alia were staying together for a certain time. Various reports of their marriage being on the cards had also made their rounds for months now. The couple was continuously throwing hints that they were quite close for the day.

In recent times, we can witness the smiling faces of Ranbir and Alia, along with their family members. Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Ranbir Kapoor's sister posted a picture on her Instagram profile where all the family members featuring Ranbir, Alia, Shaheen Bhatt, Neetu Singh, Soni Razdan, and also Riddhima could be seen with a cute caption written: "These faces" with two hearts.

Both the couples were together since 2017. For the first time, the couples are going to be together on screen in Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukerji. The other stars in this film are Amitabh Bacchan, Mouni Roy, and Akkineni Nagarjuna playing quite a crucial role. Several rumors on Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's marriage mostly stay on air frequently. But eventually, Ranbir Kapoor has put a stamp on his marriage with Alia, so it's must be a matter of excitement for the fans and everyone is looking forward to it.
