Guwahati: 4 gunmen attacked the Pakistani stock exchange building in the city of Karachi on Monday with grenades and guns. Pakistan police said that at least 4 of the attackers have been brought down.

Karachi police chief Ghulam Nabi Memon told media that the 4 attackers had arrived in a silver Toyota Corolla car and began their attack on the building, which is in a high-security zone and houses head offices of some private banks. At the same time, two citizens were killed while three others left injured in the terror attack, reports said.

Meanwhile, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail has condemned the incident of terror in Karachi's main business district. "Strongly condemn the attack on PSX aimed at tarnishing our relentless war on terror. Have instructed the IG & security agencies to ensure that the perpetrators are caught alive & their handlers are accorded exemplary punishments. We shall protect Sindh at all costs," Ismail wrote on Twitter.

It is not clear whether there are any more assailants are still at large.
