Guwahati: In a shocking development, a 4-feet-long snake was pulled out from a woman's mouth in Russia. The reptile had reportedly crawled inside her while she was sleeping.
Meanwhile, footage of the horrifying moment when the 4-feet snake was surgically removed from the Russian woman's mouth has found its way to social media, where it has gone viral.
According to a report in the DailyMail, the incident took place at Levashi village in Dagestan, Russia, when the woman was sleeping in the yard of her home.
Moments later, the woman complained of feeling unwell and was rushed to the hospital where she was put under general anesthesia after doctors realized there was something in her belly.
Later, the doctors removed the snake from the woman's mouth, with the fear on the faces of the hospital staff plain for all to see. However, it is not clear whether the snake was dead or alive on being retrieved.
In the viral video, the doctors appear rattled on realizing that the thing inside the woman's stomach was a snake and their horrified expression lingers until the moment they dump it in the waste bin.
According to the DailyMail, the Ministry of Health in Dagestan is yet to comment on the incident.
Since being shared online, the video has prompted several reactions, with some netizens calling it their "worst nightmare".
"How the hell did she breathe while snake entering into her throat... That's surely surprising," wrote one user, while another mused, "Reminds me of "Snakes on a plane.
However, there were some users who chose to make light of the situation with a dash of humour. "She was sleeping when the snake got inside. She was again sleeping when the snake got outside. God bless her," wrote Twitter user Ayush Aggarwal.
