Guwahati: A California woman, named Mayra Berenice Gallo, has been put behind the bars for her unruly behaviour to a McDonald’s manager. As reported by the police, the woman turned angry and violent on not finding enough ketchup with her order and launched physical attack on the manager. She tried to choke the manager by entering through the back door of the store.
The incident took place on October 27, but the woman who was on a flee, could be arrested on Wednesday only. The 24-year-old woman had ordered food through the drive-through at the fast food outlet of Santa Ana.
As informed by police spokesman Anthony Bertagna, the infuriated woman stormed into the restaurant through the employee back entrance and launched physical attack on the victim. She was being told by the manager that she cannot in that area and this infuriated her.
Bertagna added, “She was irate that she didn’t get ketchup.”
The incident got caught in a CCTV footage in which the woman was later seen being pulled away by a man who was accompanying her.
However, the police spokesperson also added that this is not something very new or unheard of as such instances are quite commonly seen these days. He stated, “We’re seeing more and more of this kind of stuff. Why? we don’t know. We had one guy at a 7-Eleven (convenience store) who tried to buy a bag of almond M&M’s and when his credit card didn’t work, he basically trashed the store.”
