French researcher claims successful trial of COVID-19 drug

France : A seasoned medical professional and researcher from France has claimed successful completion of a drug that can fight coronavirus. The drug can also resist the deadly virus from becoming contagious in just six days, said Professor Didier Raoult. Professor Rault, who is associated with the prestigious Institut Hospitalo- Universitaire Méditerranée Infection of France, is an infectious diseases specialist. Explaining about the trial the senior medical professional said, “The coronavirus patients I treated first with Chloroquine are rapidly recovering.” Chloroquine is used to treat malaria patient and most recently the US Drug Administration had approved to use the drug to treat coronavirus patients. As per media reports, the specialist, who has been tasked by the France government to prepare coronavirus drug, further said that he administered 600 mcg of the chloroquine on 24 coronavirus patients per day for 10 days via Plaquenil. These patients are recovering rapidly, the professor claimed. He informed that these 24 people were the first coronavirus patients.
