Hardeep Nijjar, Khalistan Supporter and Terrorist, Killed in Canada

BRITISH COLUMBIA (CANADA): Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a Canada-based pro-Khalistan leader and designated terrorist, was reportedly shot dead by two unidentified assailants at the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara in Surrey, British Columbia. Nijjar had been wanted by the Indian government for his involvement in acts of violence and subversive activities related to Sikh radicalism. He was the president of the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara in Surrey, which has been accused of promoting anti-India Khalistani elements.

Nijjar was wanted in several cases by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in India, including a conspiracy to kill a Hindu priest in Punjab. The NIA had declared a cash reward of Rs10 lakh for information leading to his arrest. His association with the Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF), a pro-Khalistan outfit, and his role as a representative of the separatist organization Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) in Canada further underscored his involvement in promoting the secessionist and terror agenda.

Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that Nijjar was shot and killed by two unidentified gunmen who fled the scene. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is currently investigating the incident. Nijjar's activities in recent years included participating in protests in front of the Consulate General of India in Vancouver, aligning himself with separatist individuals like Moninder Boyle, and allegedly forcibly occupying the Guru Nanak Sikh temple in Surrey to become its president.

The Guru Nanak Sikh Temple and Sri Dashmesh Darbar, another gurdwara in Surrey, have faced accusations of promoting anti-India Khalistani elements. Nijjar's association with these gurdwaras and his involvement in pro-Khalistan activities raised concerns about the extent of extremist influence within these Sikh religious institutions. The shooting incident has highlighted the ongoing challenges posed by Sikh radicalism and separatist movements in Canada and their potential links to violence and terrorism.

As investigations continue, the authorities will seek to gather more information about the assailants and determine the motives behind the targeted killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar. The incident serves as a reminder of the complex issues surrounding Sikh radicalism and the need for proactive measures to counter extremist ideologies and ensure the safety and security of communities.
