KYIV: In a horrifying incident that occurred in Ukraine's Kyiv, Interior Minister Denys Monastyrskyi along with his deputy Yevhen Yenin and Ministry of Internal Affairs State Secretary Yurii Lubkovych were among the ones killed in a helicopter crash in a Kyiv suburb, as per Ukraine's National Police chief Ihor Klymenko. Out of the people who lost their lives, nine were among the emergency services helicopter colliding in an eastern suburb of the Ukrainian capital Brovary, Klymenko added.
According to the regional governor of Kyiv, Oleksiy Kuleba stated in a statement that three children were inclusive of those killed as the helicopter settled down near a kindergarten in Kyiv. In the video circulating on social media from the aftermath of the happening, cries of grief and loss could be heard at the scene which was engrossed by a fire. However, there was no sudden information about the cause of the crash.
Igor Klymenko further said that twenty-two people were hospitalized including 10 children. As per officials, children, as well as employees, were present in the kindergarten at the time of the crash.
Denys Anatoliiovych Monastyrsky, a father of two children, was a Ukrainian lawyer and politician who served as Ukraine's Minister of Internal Affairs from 16 July 2021 until his death on 18 January 2023. Medical and police officials have been working at the scene in the town of Brovary located around 20 kilometers in the northeast area of Kyiv.
Earlier in Oct 2022, three individuals were crushed in an Army helicopter collision in the Upper Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh, as per a defense official. The modern light helicopter, carrying five Army personnel, was on a regular sortie following the occurrence taking place at Singing near Migging about 25 km from district headquarters Tuting.
