NEW DELHI: A document of the UK government that has
recently got leaked revealed the plans for the days after the death of
Queen Elizabeth II.
The codename of the plan which the UK government has made is 'Operation London Bridge'.
In the plan, they have elaborated on how the government will announce the death of 96-year-old Queen Elizabeth II.
The report they have made is a 10 days plan and describes what will happen after the death of the Queen who is currently in good health.
According to reports, the government would first inform the prime minister, cabinet secretary and ministers outside the British royal family.
As per the leaked document, the royal family's website would be changed to a black holding page with a short statement confirming about the death of the Queen.
The banners of the UK government websites would also be changed in to black.
According to the step-by-step plans, the day of the queen's death will be "D-Day" – with each day afterwards leading up to her funeral known as D+1, D+2 etc.
They had also detailed plan how the last right of the Queen would be held at Westminster Abbey in Central London, 10 days after the death.
Her son and heir Prince Charles will tour England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland – which together make up the UK – in the lead-up.
The report has also claimed that after the announcement of the death London would become overcrowded to mourn the queen and may face crisis.
According to the plan the funeral service of the queen will take place in St George's Chapel at at Windsor Castle, a royal residence in southern England.
The Queen would be buried at the castle's King George VI Memorial Chapel when her husband was laid to rest in April this year.
