New Delhi: A plane of a private airline in Nepal, carrying 22 passengers, including four Indians, went missing on Sunday.
As per reports, the plane named Tara, which was travelling from Pokhara to Jomsom lost contact with the control room on Sunday morning.
There are 22 people on board including the crew, which includes pilot Captain Prabhakar Prasad Ghimire, co-pilot Itasa Pokharel and air hostess Qasmi Thapa.
The plane was supposed to land at 10.20 pm, but since 11 am, the twin-engine aircraft has not been contacted yet.
According to an air traffic controller at Jomsom airport, they have received unconfirmed reports about a loud noise being heard in Ghasa in nearby Jomsom.
In a bid to find the plane, a helicopter has been sent to the areas where it was last contacted. The last contact was made at Lete Pass.
"We are deploying helicopter to the area for the search operation," ANI quoted Ram Kumar Dani, DSP of District Police Office, Mustang as saying.
