The stems and the leaves are the edible parts of the microgreens and are generally harvested after 14 days of the plantation.

Most Microgreens contain potassium, zinc, iron, magnesium, copper, etc. Microgreens can be easily introduced into our diets, it can be added in sandwiches, salads, can be garnished on the Dal (lentils), on different curries, pizzas, soups, etc.

Growing Microgreens at Home

To grow microgreens at home one does not need much equipment but just good quality, untreated seeds. For healthy growth, they need 12-16 hours of sunlight every day and should be planted with homemade compost or potting soil.
