The Lakshmana Plant

Goddess Lakshmi likes this plant very much.This plant is supposed to bring good luck and money. Maa Lakshmi is very happy by placing it in the house. It is effective in getting rid of poverty. In Ayurveda it is known as Lakshman Booti. Lakshmana plant is a vine and its leaves are similar to peepal or betel leaves.

Benefits of the Lakshmana plant

According to the some Vaastu experts, planting Lakshmana plant in the house brings wealth and increases the income of the household.

In Vaastu, Lakshmana plant has been described as a plant that attracts wealth and Lakshmi. This vine is planted to remove financial crisis and bring good luck in the house.

1. This plant has the power to destroy negative energy. Vaastu defects can be removed by keeping this plant in the house. It is also used by tantrics.

2. The north direction is considered as the direction of wealth as both Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Kubera resides at north. Therefore, it is considered best to plant Lakshmana plant in the east-north direction in the house. It should be planted in a big pot on the balcony.

THE SHAMI PLANT

The Shami plant or Banni tree (Prosopis Cineraria) is very much like the Touch-me-not(Mimosa Pubica) plant but should not to be confused with it. According to Vaastu, the family members are benefitted by planting Shami plant in the house. Worshipping the Shami plant gives the blessings of Shani Dev. Also, happiness and peace remain in the house. It is said that if Shami plant is planted along with Tulsi plant, then it benefits manifold.

The Shami plant is also very auspicious for businessmen and job holders.It is deemed very lucky to see this plant while going out for any important job or occasion.

Shami plant can be planted in a pot or directly in the raw ground on Saturday. You can place it near the main entrance of the house. Shami plant should not be planted inside the house. The Vijayadashami is considered very auspicious to bring the Shami plant.If possible, add some Gangajal while planting it.

The Shami plant should be kept on the right-hand side of the main door while going out. It can also be kept on the roof on the southern side or east and northeast. Make sure, that theplace where this plant is kept, is clean. Since this plant is worshipped, no shoes or garbage, etc should be kept near it.

Just like the tulsi plant, the Shami plant should be worshipped daily and offered water.It should not be allowed to wither. Light an oil lamp near the shami plant in the evening. You will never run short of money.

Obstacles in marriage can be removed by planting the Shami tree.Delay in marriages can also happen due to Shani Dosha. For this, taking the remedy of Shami tree can give good results. Starting from a Saturday, light a lamp of ghee near the Shami plant in the evening daily for 45 days.

Offer black urad lentils and black sesame seeds to the lowest part of the tree on Saturdays to remove bad effect of Saturn.

Lord Shiva also likes the Shami plant very much. Its flowers are offered to please Lord Shiva. If flowers are not there,Shami leaves can be offered.

VAASTU TIPS FOR HAPPINESS AND WEALTH

CAMPHOR

One of the most important factors in having a peaceful domestic life is to have peace and harmony between the married couple. If there is frequent altercation and difference of opinions between the husband and the wife, the peace of the house is disturbed and all the members are affected. Small vaastu solutions can bring an end to this. Camphor (Karpoor) has excellent property of destroying negative energy. If the relationship between the couple is not good and there are regular altercations, then burn a piece of camphor in the bedroom before going to bed. This also gives out a nice aroma and relieves stress.

You might have noticed that after almost all Hindu rituals, an aarti is done by burning camphor and people take the smoke with both palms and place it on their faces. Regular burning of camphor in the evening can increase the love among family members besides removing financial problems. Accompanying this with Aarti after the evening puja can double the effect.

It is believed that if a piece of camphor is burnt in a silver bowl in the kitchen at night time before sleeping, it will ensure that foodstock will never run short in the household. This should be done after everyone has taken their meals and the kitchen and all utensils are cleaned, it

Q.1. I am planning to construct a house facing south.The road is at west. I am sending a sketch. Kindly suggest if any changes are to be made.

Ans. If you have a road at west, it is better to construct house facing west or north. You can have the main door at northern northeast or western northwest with the main gate at northwest or west. But because of the size of your plot, it is better to have a north facing house. A west facing house will have difficulty in adjusting the bedrooms at southwest and west. Do not forget to fit the toilets at west or south. When you have the main door at northeast from a northern verandah, you can have the drawing room at north, dining room at east and the kitchen at southeast which is perfect as per vaastu. I have not reproduced the proposed plan here because of space constraints.
