17 Injured And 5 Houses Collapsed In Gas Cylinder Blast In Delhi's Azadpur

New Delhi: At least 17 people were injured and five houses were damaged due to a cylinder blast in Delhi's Azadpur on Sunday.

Reportedly, the incident occurred at around 10 am in a house near Lalbagh masjid, Azadpur.

After receiving a PCR call, the Adarsh Nagar police rushed to the spot where they found the persons who sustained burn injuries were immediately shifted to the hospital. 16 were admitted to Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital with minor burn injuries, while one was admitted to RML hospital.

According to police, so far, no casualties were reported in the incident. Also, four fire tenders were pressed into action to douse the fire.

The initial investigation, the it was revealed that the incident took place while changing gas cylinder 3rd floor and during the process, the cylinder blasted and roof and walls of the house collapsed.

The impact also led 4 other houses of 2nd floor collapsed, said the police.
