The winners of the 66th National Film Awards are declared at last and with this, the long wait for the names of the winners have come to end. As normally the national Awards are declared in the month of April every year and the presentation of awards takes place on May 3, this year there was a delay of about 4 months due to the Lok Sabha polls.
This is to be noted that the Hindi film ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ bagged four awards in total which was made on the true event of surgical strike carried on by Indian Army on the Pakistani militants. At the same time, the protagonist of the film Vicky Kaushal and another Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana, both bagged the Best Actor award. Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Hindi film Andhadhun clinched the Best Hindi film award.
On the other hand, in the category of Best Assamese film award, Rima Das directed Bulbul Can Sing made the last laugh. A complete list of the awards has been given below:
