Guwahati: Assam singer Bornalee Deuri thanked actor Akshay Kumar at the Kapil Sharma Show for donating two crore rupees to save people in Assam floods.

Bornali also shared the stage with both Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha and sang a song from the movie ‘Boss’ along with them in the episode, which aired on Saturday last.

Her sole aim to participate in the comedy show was to thank the Bollywood star for donating money for the relief of flood victims in Assam recently.

Speaking exclusively to The Sentinel Digital, Bornalee Deuri while expressing her moment said, “I went to the show especially to thank Bollywood star Akshay Kumar for his major contribution in donating two crore rupees for the flood-affected Assam.”

It is to be noted that Bornalee Deuri is a playback singer from Jorhat town in Assam. She has done playback in Assamese movies and couple of Zubeen Garg’s Music Album. She also made her debut in Bollywood with the movie “Go Goa Gone, 26/11 and Darr Aage Jeet Hai. Moreover, she was a top 10 contestant in the show Golden Voice 2018.

Recently she was a part of the T-series Show Mixtape 2. Performed with 14 Bollywood artists.
