Muzaffarpur: In a shocking incident, six people were killed in a boiler explosion at a factory in Bihar's Muzaffarpur.

Confirming the incident, a police official also said that six people have been injured in the blast.

Reportedly, quoting District Magistrate (DM) Pravan Kumar, various media reports claimed that the incident occurred at the noodles factory around 10 am.

The reports further claimed residents living in nearby heard the explosion upto a kilometer away.

Presently, the rescuers and police personnel are present at the site.

Meanwhile, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced a compensation of Rs 4 lakh each to the families of those who lost their lives in the explosion.
