NEW DELHI: Debbie Abrahams, Labour MP for Oldham East & Saddleworth has been denied entry into India. She was deported to Dubai from Delhi airport. Abrahams claimed that she was treated unfairly because of her views on Kashmir.

Abrahams claimed that she had valid visa, but the High Commission of India, London claims otherwise.

"Mission has confirmed from the Indian immigration authorities that Ms Debbie Abrahams did not hold a valid visa. Further, there is no provision for visa on arrival for UK nationals. She was accordingly requested to return," the mission tweeted.

Abrahams said in a tweet, "Again, for clarity, I am PRO human rights and social justice. I will always speak up for people who are not afforded these rights including Kashmiris on both sides of the line of control."

Abrahams, leader of the U.K. Parliament's All Party Parliamentary Group for Kashmir, has been critical of abrogation of Article 370.
