CBSE 10th result 2020: 91.46% students clear exam, girls fare better than boys

Guwahati: The CBSE 10th result 2020 has finally been declared on the board's official websites. This year, a total of 18,73,015 students had appeared for CBSE Class 10 Board Exams. Of these, 17,13,121 students have cleared the exam successfully.

If we are to go by the percentages, the students have performed better this year in comparison to 2019. This year, overall pass percentage of CBSE Class 10 Results is 91.46 percent, which is 0.36 percent increase from the last year. In the year 2019, the overall pass percentage was 91.10 percent. This year, girls have performed better in the CBSE Class 10 exam after securing an overall pass percentage of 93.31. While the figure among boys was at 90.14 percent. 

Meanwhile, CBSE Chairman Manoj Ahuja has congratulated the students who cleared the exams this year. "Heartiest congratulations to the students, parents, and teachers. For the students, the transition from secondary to senior secondary classes is an important milestone, as you can choose from a large number of subjects, both vocational and academic. Wishing you all the success", he wrote in a message on Twitter.

As the CBSE Class 10 Results are out, students can check their CBSE 10th board results 2020 on the board's official websites at cbseresults.nic.in and cbse.nic.in. Students can also check their results at results.nic.in.

The students have the option of logging into the official websites to check the results. They first have to log into cbseresults.nic.in or cbse.nic.in and click on the link for result 2020. They will then need to enter the roll number and date of birth. Doing this will cause the result to flash on the screen. Students are advised to download the result and take a print out for future reference.

There are also some alternate options to check the CBSE 10th result 2020. The CBSE will provide digital academic documents like marksheets, migration certificate and pass certificate through 'Parinam Manjusha', which is integrated with the DigiLocker mobile application. The DigiLocker account details will be sent by the CBSE to students via SMS on their registered mobile numbers. They can also check the results on the UMANG mobile app available on the Google Playstore.

It is entirely possible that the websites will take a longer period of time to load due to heavy traffic. Thus, students are advised not to panic and be patient while trying to check their CBSE 10th Result 2020. Students are also advised to keep their CBSE 10th exam 2020 hall ticket or admit card at the ready. CBSE board students need a minimum of 33 marks to clear the examination.
