CBSE 12th Topper 2020: Divyanshi Jain from Lucknow scores 600 out of 600

Guwahati: Divyanshi Jain, a class 12th Arts student from Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh has achieved the seemingly impossible after she scored 600 marks out of 600 to get 100% marks in the CBSE 12th exams.

By scoring a perfect 100 in each paper, the 18-year-old has become the talk of the town and an overnight sensation. Divyanshi, who is a student of the Navyug Radiance Senior Secondary School in Lucknow, scored a perfect 100 in English, Sanskrit, History, Geography, Insurance, and Economics.

Owing to the COVID-19 outbreak, the CBSE has declared result for class 12 on the basis of internal assessment. As per it, Diyanshi has managed to score 100 out of 100 in all her 6 subjects: English, Sanskrit, History, Geography, Insurance, and Economics. Her aggregate marks thus stand to be 600 / 600 and percentage an all clear 100.

An exuberant Divyanshi, credits her teachers and her parents for her hard work. She said that her teachers have guided her throughout the year and she was able to follow a systematic routine due to her parents' advice. She says that she had also made it a point to focus on revision and mock tests that helped her to score better. The Lucknow girl also says that she focussed on keeping a healthy routine with ample hours of sleep which helped her to perform better.

Divyanshi, a voracious reader and history aficionado, says that she has applied for admissions in BA (H) History at the prestigious Delhi University, where she intends to continue her studies further.

CBSE Regional Officer (RO) Shweta Arora said has also hailed the precocious teen and said that has been able to secure the maximum marks in the Prayagraj region. B Singh, the Principal of the School, has is also jubilant at the young girl's success and said that the marks that she got are "beyond expectations."

Sudhir Halwasia, the manager of the school also told media that he is "amazed" at the Divyanshi's achievement and said that she has done them proud. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has hailed the successful candidates on their triumph. "The exam result are output of your hard work and dedication. May you be successful in your future endeavours," the CM wrote in a tweet.
