NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education's (CBSE) Class 12 exams in violence-hit areas of northeast Delhi on Thursday have been postponed.
The CBSE said in a statement that considering the request of Delhi's Directorate of Education and to avoid inconvenience to students, staff, and parents, the exam has been postponed for the area but will be conducted in the rest of Delhi as scheduled. The exams scheduled for Thursday were English Elective, English Elective C and English Core. The new date of exam for the affected students will be notified shortly, the CBSE said. There are a total of 86 centers in northeast Delhi. The exams are being put off for the last three days due to violence in these areas. The CBSE had postponed the board exams for Class 10 and 12 scheduled on Wednesday in northeast Delhi. Class 10 exams were to be held for English Communicative, and English Language and Literature, while for Class 12, the subjects were Web Application (Old), Web Application (New), and Media. (IANS)
