GUWAHATI : Chinese military accused Indian soldiers for setting off the 9th December clash by illegally crossing the LAC in Tawang sector of Arunachal Pradesh. People's Liberation Army (PLA) asserted that the Indian army had crossed the LAC that gave fuel to the dispute with Chinese troops.
Long Shaohua, the PLA Senior Colonel stated that, the Chinese soldiers were obstructed by the Indians during a regular policing. They blocked the Chinese troops in Dongzhang area. Shaohua, the spokesman for the Western Theatre command claimed that, the Chinese were inside their own boundary, however, the Indian army crossed their LAC boundary line.
He further mentioned that, the Indian soldiers were urged to restrain front-line forces and work for peace and tranquility with the Chinese troops. In comparison, the Chinese military behaved professionally and in a composed manner which helped to mollify the situation, added Shaohua. Disengagement was done between the two parties after the clash of 9th December.
A clash between the Indian army and Chinese troops was reported near Yangtse in Arunachal's Tawang. Soldiers from both the parties received injuries during the process. A total of six Indian soldiers were admitted in the Army Hospital in Guwahati after the incident. In order to maintain calm between Chinese troops and Indian army, a flag meeting was conducted by the chief commanders from both the sides as per the established protocals.
This is the most intense incident that has occurred in the border since 2020. Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh stated that, no Indian soldiers has been martyred or underwent extreme injuries in the recent clash in Arunachal Pradesh.
As per sources, the meeting with the defence minister was led by Army Chief General, Manoj Pandey and Chief of Defence Staff General, Anil Chauhan. Senior Air force official and commanders of Navy also participated in the meeting.
The Indian army informed that, soldiers from both the sides dispersed immediately from the area, after the incident went violent.
