Jhanduta: Bharatiya Janata Party’s candidate from Hamirpur Lok Sabha and Union Minister, Anurag Singh Thakur, on Monday questioned the “nefarious” relationship between Congress and Pakistan, read Himachal Pradesh BJP’s press release.

He asked, “Why does Congress repeatedly find itself in cosy relations with Pakistan? Why do they feel compelled to praise Pakistan while living in India? What kind of disgusting politics is this to sing praises of Pakistan during Indian elections to please a particular vote bank? What kind of politics is this that hands over thousands of acres of Indian land to Pakistan?”

As per the statement, Anurag Thakur emphasised that even after 75 years since the partition of the country, the strings of Congress are still interconnected with Pakistan. He questioned why Congress asks for proof of surgical strikes and why they advocate for the elimination of Indian nuclear weapons while simultaneously asking us to fear Pakistan’s nuclear capabilities, it added. Anurag Thakur made these statements during his public meetings and media interactions in Jhanduta, Bhoranj, and Hamirpur divisions. He highlighted the achievements of his and the Modi government and urged people to vote in large numbers for the Bharatiya Janata Party on June 1. He also criticized Congress and the opposition parties, the statement added.

He stated, “Today’s India wants to move ahead, which is why it is choosing strong leadership. In six phases, the entire country has shown its resolve for a developed India by overwhelmingly voting to elect Narendra Modi as Prime Minister for the third time. Hamirpur and Himachal Pradesh will also vote in large numbers for the Bharatiya Janata Party in the seventh and final phase on June 1.”

He added, “On June 4, the public will deliver a massive defeat to Congress and its allies, who seek votes by spreading fear and confusion in the name of caste, religion, and region. They are already planning to blame their defeat on EVMs as they are getting fewer than 40 seats. They tried all tactics of spreading lies, fear, and confusion in the name of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Class, and the Constitution, but none worked.”

Anurag Thakur continued, “History shows that since independence, the Congress Party has prioritized its own deals in every defense transaction. The Congress agenda has always been to fill its pockets with the country’s money. From the purchase of 3,000 jeeps from England immediately after independence to the Bofors scam, the Scorpion Submarine scam, and the VVIP helicopter AgustaWestland scam, Congress’s hands are stained with brokerage. Congress leaders spend the money meant for strengthening the army on their own indulgences, while our soldiers die on the borders due to lack of resources.” (IANS)
