NEW DELHI: The Congress party took a jibe at the ruling BJP after the Finance Minister of the country Nirmala Sitharaman was not seen at the NITI Aayog meeting.
The party tweeted, "How many men does it take to do a woman's job?#FindingNirmala."
Several Twitter users picked up on this, and as usual, opinions were divided.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah attended the meeting. Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and Transport and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Nitin Gadkari along with several economists and experts were also seen during the meetings.
According to media reports, the group held discussions on several aspects of the Indian economy including ways to boost consumption.
