COVID Vaccination For 15-18 Age Group To Begin Tomorrow, Know How To Register On CoWIN App

New Delhi: Following the Prime Minister's announcement, the country has tightened its belt to begin the COVID-19 vaccination drive for 15-18-year-old children from Monday.

The cases of Corona are increasing continuously in the country and it the virus has already spread its feet in different states of the country. In such a situation, in view of the third wave of Corona epidemic (Covid-19), the government had given instructions to start the process of getting the vaccine for the youth of 15 to 18 years from January 3.

As per the instructions of the government, the process of registration for the vaccine has been started from Saturday and slot booking can be done through CoWIN App.

According to Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain, every day, the national capital can vaccinate 3 lakh children falling in the age group of 15 to 18 years.

Kerala's Health Minister Veena George informed that separate teams have been set up in the state for the COVID vaccination to children.

According to media reports, Dr RS Sharma, head of the CoWIN platform, said that the government have added an additional 10th class ID card for registration as some may not have Aadhaar or other identity cards.

Meanwhile, Assam government too has decided to complete the vaccination process by January 9.

Assam Health & Family Welfare Minister Keshab Mahanta on Friday asserted that the vaccination process will be completed within one week i.e. from January 3 to 9.

He informed this while addressing a press conference on December 31st with all DCs, ADCs (Health & Education).

Here's How To Register On CoWIN App

--It is very easy to book the vaccination slot for the children of 15 years to 18 years, for this you have to first go to the CoWIN App.

--Here the parents of the children will have to enter the mobile number, after which OTP will be generated.

--When the new page opens, information about the child will have to be given like- name and age.

--Further, the children's Aadhaar or 10th class I card will have to be given.

--After these, all your process will be completed, and registration will be done.

--You can book slots by going to the option of 15+ in the app.
