Delhi riots: ISIS uses pic of Muslim man getting beaten up by mob to justify violence

NEW DELHI: The terrorist organisation ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) is using a picture of a Muslim man getting beaten up during violence in the capital of India to justify violence.

It is important to note that, three ISIS terrorists were arrested by the special cell of Delhi Police after a brief encounter in January this year. In November last year, a major terror strike in the national capital was foiled by the Delhi Police. The police arrested three suspected ISIS terrorists along with Improvised explosive devices.As per police, the trio was planning terror strikes in New Delhi and a few other states including Assam. The arrests were made by the Special Cell of Delhi Police from Goalpara in Assam.The three suspected ISIS terrorists are residents of Goalpara and they aged between 25 to 30 years. The arrested terrorists were identified as Ranjit Islam alias Ranjit Ali, Luit Zameel Jaman alias Ali and Muqaddir alias Muqaddis Islam. Zameel is a 12th class pass out and worked in an Aadhar centre while Muqaddis worked as a driver and Ranjit Ali worked in a company that sells fish. During interrogation, it was found that the three were influenced by the terrorist group ISIS. The IEDs recovered from them were the same which was used during the Bhopal train blast.

In November 2019, to counter-terror organization ISIS's literature of jihad and crimes against humanity, India has started creating an internet-based "non-official channel of religious leaders" to stop Muslim youths from falling into their trap, sources said on Friday.

Al-Baghdadi, who was the highest-ranking terrorist leader since al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, was killed on October 27 in a US special forces raid at a sleepy village of Barisha, in Idlib province of northwestern Syria.
