Delhi: After the Jammat organised in March this year, a new controversy has erupted over the Markaz building of the Nizamuddin Dargah in South Delhi. An NGO has alleged that the Dargah administration illegally constructed the building. As per reports, the NGO has been filing complaints against the Dargah administration since 2014 in vain. Speaking to media Monu Chaddha, chairman of the NGO Satyamev Jayate Foundation, which has been complaining against the Dargah authority, said that despite their repeated complaints against the illegal construction the government authority is yet to take action. “I have been writing letters to the municipal corporation continuously since 2014, against the illegal construction in Markaz's building. But no action was taken by the authority,” Chadda said. Mentionable is that various sections of people across the country alleged that the Jammatis, who took part in the last religious congregation held at the Nizamuddin Dargah, spread the deadly novel coronavirus across the country. In Assam 26 people, who have linked with the Jammat, have been found COVID-19 positive so far. A total of more than four hundred people from Assam took part in the congregation, which was also attended by more than seven hundred foreign nationals. As per reports, the map of the Dargah building was passed in 1995. Accordingly, the building was constructed. Initially, the Dargah administration followed the government’s rules. However, the Dargah administration slowly started flouting the rules.
