New Delhi: Although far away from the land of Northeast hills, Goddess Durga is dressed in traditional Mekhela Sador at Noida.

Also, the active members of the Noida Axomiya Durgotsav Association (NADA) did a great job by showcasing the rich tradition of Assam through Goddess Durga in the National Capital Region (NCR).

It may be mentioned that in the year 2017, for the first time ever, the Assamese people residing in Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad had come together to celebrate Durga Puja that too in the Assamese way.

And from the start, the NADA members decided to celebrate Durga Puja in Sector 119 in the most traditional way.

The pandal was covered with white clothes to ensure that the rays of the moon don't get to touch the Goddess.

In addition to that, Assamese Japi and Gamosa were important decoratives of the pandal.

And it is the third year in a row that the members of NADA again celebrating Durga Puja with all pomp and gaiety but in the most traditional way.

Dressed in traditional Assamese attire, males, females and children from different corners of NCR throng NADA's pandal to enjoy the festivities in the most traditional way.

Every year, popular Assamese singers and musicians are the attractions in the evening in the NADA pandal.

Moreover, the food served in the pandal is also traditional.
