The Fast and Furious (F&F) franchise has been around for over two decades. The first film, released in 2001, brought the American tuner scene and the life of Dominic Torretto, Brian O'Conner, and the "family" to the silver screen. The film's greatest contribution, however, has been in the development of an auto-head franchise that grows wilder with each incarnation.

The Barrett-Jackson auction house in Las Vegas, US, has offered a Toyota Supra that was featured in the first film on sale for those wishing to bring piece of that famous F&F heritage home.

With the inaugural F&F, the Toyota Supra was driven by Brian O'Conner, who was played by the late Paul Walker. The automobile will be available for purchase from June 17 through June 19, 2021. The very detailed automobile in the photos is identical to the Toyota Supra featured in the film.

Eddie Paul of The Shark Shop in El Segundo, California, designed and built the car for the movie. Slap Jack's Supra, which appeared in the 2 Fast 2 Furious film, was based on the same car. The car was then restored to its famous appearance from the first film when the shoot was completed.

The Supra gets the Lamborghini Diablo's Candy Orange pearl-finish paint with the "Nuclear Gladiator" pattern on the sides. Bomex's front spoiler and side skirts, as well as a TRD-style hood, APR Aluminum bi-plane rear wing, and 19-inch five-spoke Dazz Motorsport Racing Hart M5 Tuner wheels, round out the body package.

This version's engine isn't the same as the one used in the film. The stock 3.0-litre turbocharged in-line six-cylinder engine powers this Toyota Supra. The engine is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Given that many cars were built for the stunt sequences in the film, another vehicle with a naturally-aspirated in-line six-cylinder engine was auctioned in 2015.

You can make your best bets on this particular version of the F&F Toyota Supra because there is no reserve price. The car will be sold with significant paperwork and an authenticity certificate. Meanwhile, the latest instalment in the Fast and Furious franchise was released in theatres throughout the world earlier this month. The action and scale increase in The Fast 9, which includes a rocket-powered Pontiac Fiero.
