AYODHYA, U.P: The Ayodhya mosque foundation stone of the great Mosque that will replace the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya is set to be laid on Republic Day, and its blueprint will be revealed to the public on Saturday, the 19th of December. Keeping up with the importance of Republic Day, Athar Hussain, Secretary of the Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation (IICF) said "The Trust chose January 26, 2021 for laying the foundation stone of the Ayodhya mosque as on this day our Constitution came into effect over seven decades ago. Our Constitution is based on pluralism, which is the leitmotif of our mosque project."
Mosque construction will be across the five-acre land allotted for in Dhannipur Ayodhya, the upcoming Mosque in Ayodhya is going to be larger than the Babri Masjid and will accomodate over 2000 Namaazis at the same time. The IICF, which was formed for the construction of the Mosque by the Sunni Waqf Board is at its forefront and its Chief Architect Professor S M Akhtar has finalised the final plan of the construction. The IICF is also in charge of unveiling the blueprint of the project which is going to consist of a multi-speciality hospital, a community kitchen and a library alongwith the main Mosque building.
Hinting on the size of the Mosque and other facilities, Akhtar was quoted saying, "The new mosque will be bigger than Babri Masjid, but won't be a lookalike of the structure. The hospital will take centre stage in the complex. It will serve humanity in the true spirit of Islam as taught by the Prophet in his last sermon 1,400 years ago". Speaking of the project, it was further informed that the Hospital to be established in Dhannipur will hold particular importance in being multispecialty, one of a kind, where efficient human resources and techniques could be easily employed in need. The community kitchen will also be of a model adept at preparing two meals a day for the poor and homeless people from around the Mosque.
As far as the financial aspect of the project is concerned, the IICF Secretary added "We are looking forward to corporate funding for the hospital. There are many donors who are willing to contribute when we have 80 G approval. After that, we will go for FCRA and seek foreign funds from Muslims of Indian origin".
