A giant crocodile spotted on the roof a flood affected Belgaum village in Karnataka has caught the eyes lately as the video of the crocodile sitting on the roof with its mouth open has gone viral on twitter. as seen in the video, the crocodile is sitting with its mouth open and this is both scary and awful imagining the dreadful situation the flood-affected villagers might go through.
A tweet post along with the video clip of the giant crocodile has been put on Twitter by ANI which reads, “A crocodile lands on roof of a house in flood-affected Raybag taluk in Belgaum.” With a few hours of sharing the video has been able to gather tremendous interest and views of the visitors that counts 37,000 views and more.
Soon, people started dropping all kinds of comments on the post. “That’s a very big croc,” wrote a Twitter user. “This year it seems crocodile all over India has planned to be in news,” wrote another. “It must be larger than 12 feet,” tweeted a third.
The crocodile, however, later escaped from the scene before being caught and rescued by the forest officials. this has added another reason to worry for the local villagers as it will be roaming free in the area with a chance of attacking any person or animal.
As the Karnataka flood is taking a severe turn due to the incessant rains, there are reports of almost 5.82 lakh people being affected by the flood. Around 3 lakh people have taken shelter in the relief camps after being evacuated by the rescue teams. In the meantime, a weather forecast made by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a red alert of heavy downpour in the coastal, central and southern regions have been issued for the next 4 to 5 days.
