New Delhi: India, with its growing number of billionaires, ranked third as the country with most number of billionaires. A total of 177 billionaires has made it to the Hurun Global Rich List in 2021. 40 of the Indian billionaires if the list were new additions. A good number were women entrepreneurs who had managed to climb up the ranks in the list.
Kiran Mazumdar ranked at the top among women entrepreneurs to become the richest woman in India.
Here is a list of top-ten richest women in India who made it to the list:
1. Kiran Mazumdar topped the list. She is the Chairperson and Managing Director of Biocon. She has a net worth of $4.8 billion.
2. Smita V Crishna of Godrej Industries missed the top spot by an inch. Last year, she was announced as the richest woman in India after she ranked 28th in the overall list. She has a one-fifth stake in the company. She has a net worth of $4.7 billion.
3. Manju Deshbandhu Gupta, non-executive chairman of Lupin came in third with a net worth of $3.3 billion.
4. Fourth in the list is Leena Gandhi Tiwari who is the chairperson of USV Private Limited. Her net worth is calculated as $2.1 billion.
5. Radha Vembu of Zoho Corporation ranked 5th with a net worth of $1.7 billion.
6. G Anuradha of Dr Reddy's Laboratory ranked sixth. Her net worth is $1. 5 billion.
7. Kavita Yadupati Singhania of J K Cement came in 7th with a net worth of $1.4 billion.
8. Anu Aga, a majority stake holder in Thermax ranked 8th with a net worth of $1.1 billion.
9. Renu Munjal of Hero FinCorp ranked 9th and has a net worth of $1.1 billion.
10. Kalpana Apurva Parekh of Pidilite Industries ranked 10th with a net worth of $1 billion.
