India registers highest Covid-19 recoveries on a single day

Guwahati: A few days back, India had been constantly in news for recording the highest day spike in the number of Covid-19 cases. Setting a change in the trend, on Wednesday, India witnessed some good news. India recorded the highest recovery so far. 28,472 recoveries were registered on the day. It is also the highest number of Covid-19 patients cured in the last 24 hours.  

With this, the total recovery tally has risen to 7,53,049, boosting the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients to 63.13%. Bringing more good news and hope, 19 states and Union Territories achieved a recovery rate higher than the national average. Delhi has the highest recovery rate of 84.83% followed by the Union Territory of Ladakh with 84.31% and Telegana with 78.37%. Assam is in the ninth position in recovery rates with 71.05%.
