Indian Railways recruitment drive: RRB exams from Dec 15

New Delhi: The Indian Railways is all set to conduct its recruitment exams through its 21 Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB). The RRB exams will be conducted through three phases, the first phase will start from December 15. The RRB recruitment drive will fill up around 1.4 lakh railway vacancies.

As per the reports, 2.44 crore candidates will sit for the exams.

"The first phase of the exam will commence from December 15 till 18 for CEN 03/2019 (Isolated and Ministerial categories). This will be followed by CEN 01/2019 (NTPC categories) from December 28 to tentatively till March 2021 and the third recruitment for CEN No. RRC- 01/2019 (Level-1) from tentatively April onwards till June end, 2021," said the Indian Railways.

Here are the guidelines the candidates need to follow for RRB exam:

1. It is mandatory for the candidates to wear masks at the examination centres.

2. Candidates should bring the COVID-19 self-declaration form.

3. The temperature of the candidates will be checked at the entry gate. Anyone having temperature more than the prescribed limit will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.

4. The number of candidates to be allowed in an exam centre will be cut down to maintain social distance.

5. After each shift of the exam, the centres will be sanitised.

6. However, the biometric impression of the candidate will not be captured due to COVID-19 situation.

7. The RRB NTPC admit card and photo-identity proof will be checked at the entry gate.

Earlier in one of its statement, the Railway ministry said, "It may be noted that RRBs has issued three centralized employment notifications (CEN). CEN 01/2019 (NTPC categories), CEN 03/2019 (Isolated and ministerial categories) and RRC-01/2019 (Level-1 categories) have been issued for a total of about 1.4 lakh vacancies for various categories of staff by Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs)."
