India's 1st Ever Female Truck Driver Completes Her Journey, Reaches Destination Siliguri

Guwahati: All the truck drivers in India are male and the idea of a female truck driver is beyond our imagination. However, a lady truck driver going by the name of Yogita Raghuvanshi has completely changed our perception.

She is the first ever female truck driver of India and has completed her journey from Guwahati to Siliguri safe and sound.

Yogita Raghuvanshi hails from Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh. She is a qualified lawyer and has also worked in a salon before apart from doing a course in dress designing.

She was compeled to take up the driving job after the demise of her husband. It is because she would not have been able to look after her kids had she continued with her previous job.

She has been driving for the past 16 to 17 years on the highways. 

Her courage and character is laudable and she is undoubtedly an inspiration for other women.
