The seventh phase of the District Development Council (DDC) elections in Jammu and Kashmir recorded a voter percentage of 47.43 across constituencies spread over different districts of Jammu and Kashmir in the first six hours of polling till 1 pm on Wednesday. The State Election Commission said the Kashmir division recorded an overall polling percentage of 32.41 and Jammu division recorded 59.90 per cent up to 1 p.m. As per the figures given by the office of State Election Commissioner, in Kashmir division, Pulwama recorded voting percentage of 9.37, Baramulla 49.50 per cent, Kulgam 14.32 per cent, Shopian 5.20 per cent, Anantnag 18.81 per cent, Bandipora 58.78 per cent, Ganderbal 41.60 per cent, Kupwara 42.19 per cent and Budgam 39.48 per cent till 1 p.m. (IANS)
