Juvenile detained for sending rape threats to Dhoni's daughter

Gujarat: The Gujarat Police arrested a 16-year-old boy for allegedly sending rape threats to MS Dhoni's daughter, Ziva Dhoni on social media.

The minor, who is a class 12th student was nabbed from Mundra in Gujarat on Sunday.

The reason behind Ziva being targeted on social media is because Dhoni's team, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) lost against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. The boy issued threats to Ziva in her mother, Sakshi Dhoni's Instagram account. The Superintendent of Police, Kutch (West) said that the juvenile belongs to Namna Kapaya village and was detained for interrogating for his disgusting threats posted on Sakshi Dhoni's profile for their daughter, Ziva.

The Gujarat Police received information about the teenager from Ranchi Police, where the case is registered. The boy will be handed over to Ranchi Police as the FIR has been lodged there. He will be further questioned by them.

MS Dhoni's team CSK did not do well at the beginning of IPL, with just two victories from seven games. The nature of the threats against the five-years-old Ziva Dhoni has shocked the people, with various celebrities, cricketer, and politicians asking for action against the 16-year old accused.
