Karnataka: Woman Blackmailed Over Nude Pictures, Extorted Of Rs 5 Lakh By Two Youths

Bangalore: A woman in Karnataka had been blackmailed by two youths who extorted an amount of 5 lakhs from her over her nude videos and photos.

The Karnataka police are looking into this matter and are putting in full effort to nab the culprits.

According to sources, a complaint has been lodged with the Basavanagudi Women's police station in Bengaluru by the victim who is 21 years old.

According to the victim, she was being blackmailed by two accused, Chiraag and Harshith, who are residents of Bengaluru. She alleged that she had met them on Instagram and was taken to a room where she was offered a sedative-laced juice. The duo, Chiraag and Harshith, took off her clothes after she fell unconscious and recorded her nude videos and photos.

In her complaint, the victim alleged that she had met Chiraag on Instagram for the first time on September 5, 2020. Soon, the victim and the accused developed a relationship and had exchanged phone numbers after which they were in touch on a regular basis.

The victim further said that Chiraag brought her to Mysuru saying that he wanted her to meet his parents. However, the victim was taken to a lodge where she was served a sedative-laced juice.

Her clothes were taken off by Chiraang and Harshit who took nude pictures of her as she laid there unconscious. 

The culprits later demanded a ransom from the victim by blackmailing her over the nude photos. 

In her complaint, the victim added, "I have given the accused Rs 5 lakhs. In spite of that, they have blackmailed me and locked me up in a hotel room and threatening me to give more money."
