NEW DELHI:
Kendriya Vidyalaya School Admission Process 2021-22 Session: After a three-month break, Kendriya Vidyalaya restarted admissions session. The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), the Central School Channel's governing body, will release the Class 1 admission list later Wednesday and the second list on June 30. In the case of more admission vacancies, a third list will be published on July 5.
Admissions in Kendriya Vidyalaya for the 2021-22 academic year began in the fourth week of March 2021. However, owing to an unusual surge in covid-19 instances, the admission reporting list has been postponed, according to KVS, the independent body that works under the Union Government's school education department. In all, India has 1,248 Kendriya Vidyalayas.
Class 2 admission will take place between June 24 and June 30.
The resumption of the KVS admission procedure indicates that schools are reopening since coronavirus infections have decreased considerably over the last week. However, it is unknown when physical campuses will reopen.
Due to the covid-19 outbreak, educational campuses will be closed in mid-March 2020. While several states resumed schools gradually in January and February, the second wave caused officials to shut new schools this year.
For the second year in succession, the pandemic caused significant disruption in the education sector, resulting in the suspension of board examinations for grades 10 and 12.
More than 250 million students are receiving education in about 1.5 million schools around the country.
Meanwhile, the Assam government ruled out that all schools would continue to be closed even after the summer break owing to the state's current COVID-19 crisis, and has urged authorities to take efforts to conduct online lessons. The ruling was issued on Monday and went into effect immediately. Summer vacation in schools is often recognized throughout the month of July.
