KERALA: A 28-year-old woman was allegedly gang raped after she travelled 300 km to meet her online friend.

The incident took place on Friday in north Kerala's Kozhikode.

As per the details, when she went to meet her online friend, four men reportedly drugged her, raped her and later shot a video of the incident. Late they dumped her near a private hospital.

Sources said that the culprits has threatened her to leak the videos and photos if she complain the matter to police.

According to details she is resident of of Kollam in south Kerala and purportedly was in touch with the man on social media since last two years.

The man insisted that they meet and invited her to come to Kozhikode when she finally made the trip on Thursday.

Sources said that the girl went to the flat of her online friend in which his friends also joined. They reportedly forced her to drink liquor suspected to drugged her and raped her one by one.

Earlier, the police in Karnataka arrested three persons including a mother of 10-year old boy who was murdered and kept the incident secret in February last. Speaking with reporters Bengaluru DCP South East Srinath Mahadev Joshi said that after maintaining silence of six month the mother of the deceased boy filed a missing dairy with police. He said that the accused identified as the friend of the mother, his girlfriend and the mother her-self. Police arrested the trio on August 27 soon after the complaint and Mico Layout police has carried out an investigation into the case.

The police officials informed that during investigation they have recovered a plastic pipe which was used to assault the boy and the car used to shift the body of the boy. He said that according to preliminary investigation the main accused reportedly had an argument with the deceased boy and assaulted him with the plastic pipe when the mother was absent. "The incident took place on 7th February this year. After the incident the main accuse had informed his lover and the mother of the deceased boy and asked them to come at his residence. When they came, he had shown them the body", police said.
