Bank Holidays in 2021: As per the Reserve bank of India, Indian Banks is going to remain closed for about forty days this year i.e. 2021. However, certain holidays will differ in various states and UT, depending on some state-specific occasions.
Under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, the bank holidays are enlisted by the Central and State Government and the Union Territories. The list of holidays that is announced by the Central government is applicable to public and private sector banks.
On Sundays, of course, banks won't function. Additionally, it is going to remain shut on government and national holidays and also on the second and fourth Saturdays.
India will have three national holidays in 2021 which are on 26th January for Republic day, 15th August for Independence Day, and on 2nd October for Gandhi Jayanti.
