However, the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) shall
be applicable only for the passengers entering by air, train, or road from
Delhi, Rajasthan, Goa, and Gujarat to the State.
Given below are the SOP
SOP for Air travel:
- Passengers
traveling to Maharashtra will not be allowed to fly without COVID-19 (RT-PCR)
negative test report.
- RT-PCR
sample collection should have been done within 72 hours of landing at airports
in Maharashtra.
- If
passengers do not have test reports on landing, they will have to undergo an
RT-PCR test at their own cost, after which they will be allowed to leave the
airport premises.
- The
passengers whose reports come positive will be contacted and treated according
to the current protocol.
SOP for Railways travel:
- Passengers
traveling by train to or from stations in Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Goa
will carry COVID-19 (RT-PCR) negative test report before entering Maharashtra.
- RT-PCR
sample collection should have been done within 96 hours of scheduled arrival in
Maharashtra.
- Passengers
who do not have a COVID-19 negative test report will be screened for symptoms
and body temperature at railway stations.
- Although
asymptomatic passengers will be allowed to go home, those with symptoms will
undergo rapid antigen testing.
- The
passengers found positive for the novel coronavirus, they will be referred to the
COVID Care Center. The cost of treatment will have to be borne by the concerned
passenger.
Guidelines for Road travel:
- District
collectors of land border districts in Maharashtra have been arranged to ensure
that travelers coming from the above 4 states are screened for symptoms and
body temperature.
- Only
passengers with no symptoms will be allowed entry, while symptomatic people
have the option to return to their respective states and enroll.
- If
symptomatic travelers choose to enter Maharashtra, they will have to undergo
rapid antigen testing.
- If
passengers are found positive for the novel coronavirus, they will be referred to
the COVID Care Center. The cost of treatment will have to be borne by the
concerned traveler.
