Maharashtra: 11 Coaches of LTT-Jaynagar Pawan Express Derail Near Nashik

Following the derailment, three trains-- 12109 (CSMT-MMR), 12110 (MMR-CSMT) and 11401 (CSMT-ADB) have been cancelled while three other trains have been diverted.

Nashik: A total of 11 coaches of Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT)-Jaynagar Pawan Express derailed near Nashik here on Sunday afternoon, said Central Railway.

The incident took place at around 3.10 pm between Lahavit and Devlali in the Bhusaval division.

''Few coaches of 11061 LTT-Jaynagar Express have been derailed between Lahavit and Devlali (near Nashik) on Dn line at around 15.10 hrs on 3.4.2022. Accident Relief Train and Medical Van have rushed to the spot,'' Central Railway tweeted.

Meanwhile, an accident relief train from Manmad along with accident relief medical equipment from Bhusaval and a medical van from Igatpuri have rushed to the spot.

Helpline numbers 022-22694040 and 022-67455993 have been issued at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, and for Nashik Road it is 0253-2465816, for Bhusaval 02582-220167 and 54173 for the Disaster Management Room.

However, so far, no death has been reported.
